With your registration you agree to the following general terms and conditions.$

Lomi Lomi Massage

The treatment rates are given in the description of the respective offer. For single sessions please pay by cash or Twint transfer on the spot.

Massage bookings are binding. Cancellations or postponements less than 24 hours before the start of the appointment will be charged. First-time customers are asked to confirm their appointment by stating their personal details and paying a deposit of CHF 50 (by Twint or IBAN), on the evening prior to the appointment.

Liability: You are fully responsible for yourself, your actions and your belongings. You understand that Monika Schaffner is not liable for property damage, personal injury or loss of valuables.

Medical: My work is complementary to naturopathy, psychology and conventional medicine, but does not replace the diagnosis or treatment by a doctor or therapist. If you suffer from medical or psychological conditions, please let me know prior to treatment so that I can address them appropriately.

Health insurance: According to the current status, treatment costs are not covered by health insurance.

Alpine Retreats | Switzerland

Full insurance coverage is the responsibility of the participants. With your registration you confirm that you are insured for your trip. This applies in particular to travel cancellation costs as well as accident, illness and rescue costs during the trip. 

Liability: You are fully responsible for yourself, your actions and your luggage. You are aware that Monika Schaffner is not liable for any damage to property or personal injury or for the loss of valuables. 

Medical: The tour leader will carry a mountain medicine kit for the group. If you need special medication, you are responsible for bringing this with you. If you have any medical or psychological conditions, please let me know in advance so that I can make appropriate arrangements. 

Costs: You can find the tour cost in the description of each offer. 

Costs include: All-inclusive tour design, organisation & guidance by Monika Schaffner: This includes an individual preparatory meeting, 1:1 guidance and coaching throughout the tour as well as an individual post-trip follow-through for your integration. Morning and evening meals for the duration of the tour, Travel expenses for the tour guide.

Costs exclude: Your travel costs, Your daytime food/snacks for the duration of the tour, Your personal equipment (can be rented from me or an outdoor store). 

Registration: Please send me your binding registration in writing via contact form or email. You will then receive a confirmation of your registration with details of the payment conditions, an invoice and an invitation to an individual preparation meeting.

Terms of payment: A deposit of 25% of the costs is to be paid at the time of registration (counts as booking confirmation). The remaining amount is to be paid four weeks before the tour. Cancellation conditions and withdrawal agreement: In case of cancellation up to four weeks before the start of the tour, no further costs are owed except for the deposit. The deposit will not be refunded. In case of later cancellations and no-shows, the full fee is owed. If a substitute person is provided or if there is a waiting list, the amount already paid minus the deposit (counts as contribution towards expenses) will be refunded. In case you leave the tour early, no refund will be made.

This cancellation agreement also applies in case of illness or accident. If the tour has to be cancelled due to unforeseeable reasons, the costs will be waived and the deposit will be refunded in full.

Himalayan Journeys

Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. With your registration you confirm that you are insured for your trip. This applies in particular to travel cancellation costs, accident and illness costs during the trip including rescue and repatriation to your home country, as well as travel/holiday insurance according to your needs (e.g. luggage). It is the participants’ responsibility to clarify and ensure sufficient insurance coverage.

Liability: You are fully responsible for yourself, your actions and your luggage. You are aware that Monika Schaffner and the hosts in Nepal are not liable for any damage to property or personal injury or for the loss of valuables. 

Medical: The tour leader carries a general first-aid kit for the group. If you need special medication, you are responsible for bringing it with you. If you suffer from any medical or psychological conditions, please let us know in advance so that we can accommodate them appropriately. 

Costs: You find the travel costs in the description of the respective offer.

The costs are composed as follows: 

Cost for tour organisation and full guiding by Monika Schaffner: This flat rate includes the preparation and organisation of the tour (route planning, transportation, accommodations), an individual pre-trip preparation meeting, an introductory meeting with the group (online or physical, depending on the possibility), your 1:1 guidance and coaching during the tour, and an individual post-trip follow-through for your integration. 

Effective travel costs: The effective travel costs indicated in the tour description are based on an estimate of your travel costs on the tour. Effective travel costs include the cost of accommodations (double rooms), regular meals, domestic transportation, entrance fees, permits, salaries of porters and local guides, as well as the effective travel costs of the tour guide divided among the group.

The individual service providers on the tour are listed in the final itinerary, which you will receive approx. 2 months prior to the trip. Services on site are facilitated by Monika Schaffner.

The effective travel costs are paid to a common travel fund by all participants prior to the trip, according to the cost estimate given in the tour description. After the trip, the costs are settled according to actual expenses. If we have spent less than budgeted, you will be reimbursed for the additional amount. If we have spent more than budgeted, we will invoice you for the excess amount. 

Individual expenses (not included in the travel estimate): These include: International airfare Europe – Kathmandu, visa, your insurance, single room supplements and hot showers on trek if desired, all beverages except morning tea/coffee, water throughout the day, tips, personal purchases, individual equipment. Individual expenses are to be paid individually on site. 

Registration: Your binding registration is done in writing via contact form or email. With your binding registration you confirm that you have read and accepted the terms and conditions. You will then receive a confirmation of your registration with details of the payment conditions. 

Payment conditions: A deposit of CHF 800 is required at the time of your booking (this is considered as booking confirmation). The remaining amount according to the tour description (remaining amount of the travel package + estimated costs for the group travel fund) is to be paid at the latest 8 weeks before the start of the trip. Within 4 weeks after the end of the trip, the final statement of the actual travel costs will be issued and the difference to the estimated costs paid in advance will be refunded or claimed. 

Cancellation conditions and withdrawal agreement: In case of cancellation up to 8 weeks before the start of the trip, no further costs are owed with the exception of the deposit. The deposit will not be refunded. In case of later cancellations and no-shows, the full amount of the cost for tour organisation and full guiding is owed. However, if a replacement person is provided or if there is a waiting list, the amount already paid less the deposit (considered as compensation of expenses incurred during registration process) will be refunded. No refund will be made in the event of premature cancellation of the tour by the participant.

This cancellation agreement also applies in the event of illness or accident. If the tour must be cancelled due to unforeseeable reasons, the cost will be waived and the deposit will be refunded in full. 

Unforeseen global travel restrictions: If the trip has to be cancelled at short notice due to global travel restrictions, the cost will be waived and the deposit will be refunded in full. 

Short term program changes: Short term adjustments in the program, due to weather (domestic flight), altitude acclimatization in the group or other unforeseen developments are explicitely reserved.
